Regenerative medicine and specifically tissue engineering is a multi-disciplinary field aimed towards to repair of damaged or degenerating
tissues through the combination of specialised materials, cells and growth factors which will generate a complete and functional new tissue
or organ.
The field is complex (at least 10 different scientific and/or clinical disciplines need), expensive (1.7 billion euros from concept to market
including all failed/cancelled approaches and post marketing approval), long (between 11 and 13 years from concept to product on market) and
fraught with failed or cancelled projects (only 1 in 10 000 ideas makes it from concept to market).
Beneath we highlight some of the best web resources in which you can find more detailed information about this exciting and cutting edge
field, which is in the process of revolutionising health care.
